Philip Earis is the Editor-in-Chief of the leading energy journal Joule and Publishing Director, Cell Press. Originally a physics researcher at Cambridge University, Philip has worked in scientific publishing for 20 years, firstly at RSC where he launched the journal Energy & Environmental Science, and also launched Nanoscale (a collaborate with CAS and Prof. Chunli Bai).  Philip moved to Cell Press to launch Joule in 2017, and has quickly developed Joule to be one of the world’s leading physical science journals (current IF=46.0).  As Cell Press Publishing Director, he has helped support the launch of other prestigious Cell Press physical science journals like Chem, Matter, and Device.
