    软物质及生物物理计算模拟:分析三种不同的软物质系统—液泡,细胞膜,和生物高分子—来解答关于形状,力学,和可编程性的问题。 

    (1) 液泡: 数值研究通过磷脂双分子层连接的液泡网络所形成的类生物组织材料featured.jpg

            (a) 形状可变:通过可编程渗透压驱动

            (b) 渗透压机器人:通过添加与周围动态环境的渗透压相互作用,来实现折叠-展开-再折叠过程

            (a) 初始阶段:网格蛋白通过转接蛋白与细胞膜相互作用诱导细胞膜凹陷

            (a) 在薄水凝胶表面布置硬纤维:引导稳定的三维形状改变(硬纤维置于水凝胶内部时不可实现)

    2022年秋季入学博士生有一个名额,欢迎对高分子及生物材料的计算模拟方向感兴趣的硕士毕业生加入,要求:

    1. 考生本科和硕士所学专业一般应为化学化工相关学科,如本科和硕士所学专业均不是化学化工相关学科,需要加试一门所报考学科的专业基础课,考试合格后方可进行综合复试。在此之外,有物理或者生物背景优先考虑。 

    2. 有编程、理论计算相关背景并发表相关SCI论文。

    3. 外语水平须符合下述条件之一:全国大学英语六级成绩 ≥ 425 分,新TOEFL ≥ 90 分,IELTS ≥ 6.0 分,参加全英文授课学位项目并获得学位。

    The T. Zhang Theory Group in School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University has an opening for a Ph.D. in theoretical descriptions of soft matter polymeric materials and biopolymers, e. g., 

     

    (1) designing self-healing polymeric materials with reprocessing properties using mesoscale simulations, 

    (2) understanding structure-property relationships in solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) using Kremer-Grest polymer model; 

    (3) exploring the morphology and rheology of a developing organoid using a confluent tissue model, and discovering emergent mechanical phenomena in semiflexible biopolymer networks coupled with tissue

     

    Depending on the project, the work ranges from a mix of analytical and computational approaches to predominantly computational, augmented by heuristics. There will also be opportunities for collaborations with other faculty, students, and postdocs in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as other national and international collaborators.

    A postdoc position is open in theoretical descriptions of soft matter polymeric materials and biopolymers, e. g., 

    (1) designing self-healing polymeric materials with reprocessing properties using mesoscale simulations, 

    (2) understanding structure-property relationships in solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) using Kremer-Grest polymer model; 

    (3) exploring the morphology and rheology of a developing organoid using a confluent tissue model, and discovering emergent mechanical phenomena in semiflexible biopolymer networks coupled with tissue. 


    The postdoc position can begin at any time, and have a duration of two years, with the possibility of renewal. 

    The annual salary of at least CNY$240,000* (~US$38,000) as well as on-campus accommodation. 

    Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or a related field and have demonstrated experience in theoretical/computational soft matter, polymeric materials, or biophysics.
