Shanghai Jiao Tong University students attended the 12th National College Students Chemical Engineering Experiment Invitational Competition

The 12th National College Students Chemical Engineering Experiment Invitational Competition, hosted by MOE Chemistry Education Research Center, was held in Zhengzhou University from July 8 to 11, 2021. A total of 129 competitors from 43 universities participated in this top-level competition for undergraduates nationwide.

The competition consisted of theory test and experiment test. The experiment test was divided into three parts, including inorganic and analytical chemistry experiment, organic chemistry experiment and physical chemistry experiment, which aimed to examine the competitors' mastery of laboratory knowledge and regulations, ability to design, arrange, operate and record experiment as well as analyzing and problem-solving abilities.

Led by Associate Professor Li MA and Senior Engineer Shaoai XIE, Chenyu YANG, Yi LIU and Zhuoqian LYU attended the competition as representatives of SJTU.  Zhuoqian LYU won the second prize and Chenyu YANG and Yi LIU won the third prize, which showed excellent professionalism and spirits of SJTUers.
