On March 31, 2018, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering held the Commencement Ceremony for the graduating students of 2018 spring. Prof. Deyue YAN, academician of CAS, Prof. Xinyuan ZHU, dean of the SCCE, Prof. Jinping JIA, party secretary of SCCE, and Dr. Shuyu ZHANG, the tutor representative, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was host by Mr. Hao ZHENG, deputy party secretary of SCCE. Families and friends of the graduating students witnessed the solemn moment.

First, Prof. Xinyuan ZHU, on behalf of all students and faculties of SCCE, extended congratulations to the graduating students. He hoped that at the new stage of life, every one of the present could keep moving forward with courage and determination as alumni of SCCE. He also encouraged graduating students to take responsibilities with a beginner’s heart and firm belief, with braveness and critical thinking.

The ceremony dropped the curtain in the university anthem. People took a group photo to commemorate the occasion. The graduating students are going to enter a new chapter of their life. Thank them for sharing their youth with SJTU. We hope that they could make their dreams come true, live a peaceful and happy life, and create a magnificent career of their own in the beautiful future.
