The State Key Laboratory of Coking Coal Resource Development and Comprehensive Utilization, jointly established by China Pingmei Shenma Group and SJTU, was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2015. Focusing on safe and efficient mining of deep coking coal, clean coking, and efficient utilization of coking by-products, the laboratory aims to achieve world-class technology, implement an innovation-driven development strategy, and lead and promote industrial adjustment, transformation, and upgrading. It strives to continuously improve the independent innovation ability of the coal industry in China, overcome key technology barriers, and promote the development of a circular economy.
